Why can't I access the new Accountant Hub?

  • Updated

The Accountant Hub is specifically designed for accountants and brings new dedicated features. For more details on the possibilities offered by the Accountant Hub, please refer to the article What is the Accountant Hub?

If you have the Reporting role but you are not an accountant, you will no longer be able to access this space. You will now need to use a different role that is better suited to your function.

What should I do if I am not an accountant?

If you received the migration message to the Accountant Hub but you are not an accountant, you need to contact the Owner or Admin of the Qonto account.

They will need to archive your current user account with the Reporting role, and then re-invite you with an appropriate role.

The choice of the new role depends on your responsibilities and the access you need:

  • Admin: For complete account management, including users, accounting integrations, and most settings
  • Manager: To supervise transactions, manage team requests, and access financial reports
  • Employee: To make expenses with a Qonto card and submit expense claims

Please refer to the article What are the different roles available? to understand the permissions of each role and identify the one that best suits your needs.

Once re-invited with the right role, you will regain access to the Qonto account.

How should the Onwer or Admin handle this situation?

If you are the Owner or an Admin and a user contacts you following the migration message, here is the procedure to follow.

First, check whether this user is actually an external accountant working for an accounting firm. If so, they must enter their firm's information in the migration popup to access the Accountant Hub.

If the user is not an accountant but an internal collaborator (financial controller, administrative manager, etc.), you must proceed as follows:

  1. From your web app, go to User management > User / Accountant access.  From your mobile app, go to Menu at the bottom right > ⚙️ > User access.
  2. Select the user's profile and use the Disable access button.
  3. Once it’s done, click on Invite a Team member or Invite an Accountant on the top right
  4. Enter the user detail and chose the user role.
  5. Send the invitation.

The user will receive a new invitation email and will be able to create their access with the new role.

For more details on user management, please refer to the article How to invite and manage team members within my Qonto account?.

What if I am actually an accountant?

If you are an accountant and you see the migration popup, you can access the new Accountant Hub in a few simple steps.

The popup asks you to provide information about your accounting firm. This information allows you to be officially linked to your firm and gives you access to the Accountant Hub shared with the other accountants in your firm.

Once this information is validated, you will immediately have access to the new features: centralized management of your Qonto clients, capital deposit initiation, PA compliance monitoring, and recommendation tools.

If you encounter difficulties during this step or have questions about your firm, contact Qonto support directly from your interface or by using the mail expert-comptable@qonto.com.
