How do transactions and settlements work?
Funds are settled the next business day (D+1) via a single transfer combining all transactions, with detailed transaction information included.
To process a payment:

- π» Web: Go to Business Account > Tap to Pay
To view your pending and completed payments:

You can also view payment history directly on the terminal:

β οΈ The payment history displayed on the terminal is specific to that device. If you use multiple terminals or both contactless payments and payment terminals, the full transaction history is always available in the Payment Terminals section of the web and mobile apps.
How do I refund a transaction?
You can issue a refund from the payment terminal, the web app, or the mobile app. Your customer receives the refund the next business day, and the action can be performed remotely β the customer does not need to be physically present.
From the payment terminal

What other features does my payment terminal include?
Tipping
The tipping feature allows you to collect tips from customers at the point of sale. It is disabled by default and can only be activated from the terminal itself β not from the web or mobile app.
To activate tipping:
- Tap Options in the top-right corner of your main POS screen
- Scroll down to the Tipping section
- Select the option to activate tipping
- Enter your PIN code (received by email after your order β contact our support team to reset a forgotten PIN)
Once activated, tipping is enabled across all terminals connected to your organization. When a payment amount is entered, the terminal shows a tipping screen to your customer with the following options: 5%, 10%, 15%, or a custom amount. The selected tip is added to the total and the payment is processed as usual. Your daily PDF summary includes the tip amount for each transaction.
Product and service catalogue
The product and service catalogue lets you create a list of items in Qonto and select them at the time of payment, from your POS terminal or Tap to Pay app β no more manually entering prices for every transaction. This feature is available on both Tap to Pay and Qonto POS terminals.
Only Owners and Admins can create and manage the catalogue. To set it up:
- π» Web: Go to Business Account > Payment terminals > Manage products and services β add items one by one (name + price) or import them in bulk via a file.
- π± Mobile: Go to Payment terminals > Manage products and services β create or edit items directly from your smartphone.
At checkout, tap the Items tab at the top of your terminal or Tap to Pay screen. You can:
- Browse and select items from your catalogue
- Add multiple items to a basket and adjust quantities
- Combine catalogue items with a manually entered amount in a single transaction
- Resume a basket if a payment fails, without having to recreate it
The catalogue is shared with Qonto's existing Products and services feature used for invoicing. Items already created for your invoices are immediately available on your terminals, with no additional setup required. Items added for the terminal are also available when creating invoices, accessible from Invoices > Products and services or Business Account > Payment terminals > Manage products and services.
On POS terminals, Owners, Admins, Managers, and Employees can all use the catalogue at checkout. On the mobile app (Tap to Pay), only Owners and Admins can access the catalogue β Managers and Employees will see an empty screen in that section.
βοΈ The receipt does not display a product-by-product breakdown of catalogue items. Automatic VAT management and product-level accounting exports are not available β the product catalogue is not an accounting or VAT tool.
