Qonto and Dext offer several integration methods for retrieving your accounting data. Depending on your setup, you can automatically sync receipts for your bank transactions via the API, or manually export your purchase and sales invoices or transactions.
☝️ If you are an Accountant, you must have Accountant access to access your clients’ files via the Qontable Space. If you do not have this, ask your clients to invite you as an Accountant on their account. The Qonto Basic plan does not allow this invitation.
How do I connect my Qonto account to Dext?
The connection with Dext is done via the Qonto API. Once established, each receipt attached to a transaction in Qonto is automatically sent to Dext. This integration is available to Owners and Admins of the Qonto account, on 💻 web, and requires an active Dext account.
Retrieve your Qonto API credentials
- Log in to your Qonto account on 💻 web
- Go to Integrations and Partnerships, then click on Integrations
- In the Integrations and Partnerships menu, click on API Key
- To the right of the Identifier tab, click Generate to create your secret key
- Copy your identifier and your secret key — you will need them for the configuration in Dext
☝️ If you are an accountant and do not have access to your client’s secret key, contact the Qonto account Admin to have them generate it. You can also see the article Where can I find my API identifier and secret key?
Set up the connection from Dext
Once you have your Qonto API credentials:
- Go to your Dext account
- In the left navigation bar, go to the Connections menu, then click on Purchase Connectors
- Select Qonto from the list
- Paste your Qonto identifier and secret key
- Choose how many months of history to import (from 1 to 12 months)
- Click Connect Qonto
Your data synchronization will start automatically after connecting.
For more information on this integration, see our dedicated article: How to connect Qonto to Dext?
How do I find my Qonto receipts in Dext?
For your receipts to be sent to Dext, they must be attached beforehand to your transactions in Qonto. See the article How to manually download a receipt or invoice on a Qonto transaction? to learn how to do this.
Once attached in Qonto, your receipts automatically appear in the Inbox of the Purchases section in Dext. If invoices imported into Qonto have already been imported into Dext, duplicates are automatically merged and sorted into Archive or Inbox in Dext.
How can I manually export my invoices and transactions?
If you prefer a one-time export, the procedure varies depending on your role.
