How can I order my Qonto card ?

  • Updated

With your Qonto account, you can order different types of cards.

All Qonto cards are Mastercard debit cards. Qonto also offers Mastercard deferred debit cards, subject to eligibility.

Only the account owner, admins or managers can perform this action.

How do I order my card?

From the Business account section, click on Cards then on Create a card in the top right corner, and follow these steps:

  1. Choose the card type that suits your needs.
  2. Enter the name of the (future) cardholder.

By default, the full name registered in your account will be used. You can customise it under certain conditions. Contact our support team to find out about the applicable terms and any legal or technical limitations.

⚠️ Non-standard name formats may trigger merchants' fraud detection systems, which can lead to verification issues or payment rejections.

  1. Customise the settings of your card.
  2. Adjust your payment and withdrawal limits.
  3. Set the days of use and spending categories (optional).
  4. Choose the delivery address (physical cards only). Cards can be sent to:
    1. the cardholder's personal address
    2. the company's registered office
    3. a custom address
  5. Set your PIN code — this is the code used for your card payments. You can view your PIN code at any time.
  6. Confirm the order via your Qonto app or the SMS code received.

Your card is ordered.

⚠️ Qonto does not offer duplicate cards. If needed, you will have to order a new one.

☝️ For security reasons, the order is only finalised once the PIN code has been set by the cardholder. For more information, refer to the article How do I set up the PIN code for my Qonto card?

Can I use my card immediately after ordering?

No need to wait for your card to be delivered to start using it. From the moment it is created:

  • Your card can be used online, by entering its details directly on merchant websites.
  • You can make in-store purchases via Apple Pay or Google Pay, without waiting for your physical card to be delivered.
