How can I synchronize my accounting entries with Cegid Loop?

  • Updated
The Cegid Loop integration allows you to connect your accounting software to your Qonto Accounting Hub to automate the synchronization of your entries. ✨ It ensures the automatic retrieval of your accounting reference data (chart of accounts, auxiliary accounts, journal codes) and the creation of your client files in Qonto.
Once the connection is established, your accounting entries (purchases, sales, expense reports, bank transactions) and their supporting documents are automatically synchronized after validation. This integration is available for accountants with access to the Qonto Accounting Hub and an active Cegid Loop subscription with API rights.
For more information on the general operation of synchronization APIs, please see our dedicated article: Overview of APIs to synchronize accounting entries.

How can I retrieve my API keys and configure Cegid Loop?

Before connecting Cegid Loop to your Qonto Accounting Hub, you need to retrieve your API credentials and activate the folders to synchronize directly from the Cegid Loop Hub portal.
Retrieve your API keys
Three pieces of information are required to activate the integration in your Qonto Accounting Hub:
  • API Key: to be retrieved from the Loop Hub portal
  • API Secret: to be retrieved from the Loop Hub portal
  • Domain: your firm's Loop code, available in Loop Hub
To generate your API key, follow the official Cegid documentation dedicated to obtaining a Loop API key: Cegid Loop documentation — Obtaining an API key. If you do not have the necessary administrator rights, contact Cegid Loop support or your Loop CSM to obtain this information.

Associate the folders to synchronize with Qonto
This step is essential: without it, no folder will be synchronized with Qonto.
  1. In Loop Hub, go to the API key you just generated (identifiable by the name you assigned it, for example "QONTO")
  2. Click on the pencil icon on the right to edit the key
  1. Click Next
  1. Check the folders to publish and synchronize with Qonto
  1. Click Next then Validate
Verify prerequisites in Loop
Before connecting a folder, verify that each open fiscal year in Cegid Loop includes:
  • A complete chart of accounts
  • Open journals
To manage collaborators' access rights to folders in Loop, see the Cegid documentation: Granting access rights to a collaborator and Assigning access to client folders.

How can I enter my API keys in the Qonto Accounting Hub?

Once you have retrieved your API keys from Loop Hub, go to your Qonto Accounting Hub to finalize the connection.
  1. Log in to your Qonto Accounting Hub
  2. Go to the Integrations menu
  3. Follow the Integrations wizard and enter your API Key, API Secret, and your Cegid Loop Domain at the indicated steps
Once the codes are entered and the connection validated, the folders you associated in Loop Hub are recognized in Qonto. The accounting reference data (chart of accounts, auxiliary accounts, journal codes) for each folder is automatically retrieved and entry synchronization can begin.

What constraints should I be aware of for proper API functioning?

Limit on entry descriptions
The Cegid Loop API limits entry descriptions to 35 characters. Any description exceeding this limit is automatically truncated when sent from Qonto. Structure your descriptions so that the essential information appears within the first 35 characters.

Limit on auxiliary codes
Auxiliary account codes are limited to 17 characters by the Cegid Loop API. Any code longer than this limit will be truncated when sending entries from Qonto. Check the length of your auxiliary codes before starting synchronization.

What should I do if all my entries are rejected by Loop?
If you notice massive rejections of entries with the following message: "An error occurred during the JSON import request: The collaborator [identifier] does not have access to the folder [FOLDER_NAME]", this means that the Qonto connector is not activated on the concerned folder in Loop.
⚠️ To resolve this issue, in Cegid Loop, go to the folder portfolio, add the "Action" column, then activate the Qonto connector for the concerned folder. If the connector still appears under the old name "Regate by Qonto" in your Loop interface, select it as it appears — it is indeed the Qonto connector.
