The ACD-iSuite integration allows you to connect your accounting software directly to your Qonto Accounting Hub to automate the synchronization of your entries. ✨ It ensures the automatic retrieval of your accounting reference data (chart of accounts, subsidiary accounts, journal codes) and the creation of your client files in Qonto.
Once the connection is established, your accounting entries (purchases, sales, expense reports, bank transactions) and their supporting documents are automatically synchronized after validation. This integration is available for accountants with access to the Qonto Accounting Hub and an active ACD-iSuite subscription.
For more information on the general operation of synchronization APIs, see our dedicated article: Introduction to APIs for synchronizing accounting entries.
How can I activate the API in ACD?
Create an API access for Qonto
To allow Qonto to connect to your files via the ACD API, you must first create a specific access in ACD. For any assistance with this operation, contact ACD support directly.
- In ACD, go to the menu Administration > i-Suite Expert Tools > API Access Management
- Click the [+] button at the top of the screen
- Define a code (for example:
QONTO) - Add a label (for example:
QONTO) - Create a password using the padlock button
⚠️ Do not use the "Define used files" link. This function allows adding exceptions on certain files and should not be used unless specifically required. See the ACD documentation for more information at this link: https://assistance.suiteexpert.fr/hc/fr/articles/30849528305298-Gestion-des-accès-API or contact ACD support.
Activate files in i-Suite
For each ACD file to be used in your Qonto Accounting Hub, you must activate the iSuite option in ACD. This step is essential: without it, ACD information will not be transmitted to Qonto, the charts of accounts will remain empty, and synchronization issues may occur.
- Open the accounting for the relevant file
- Go to the menu i-Suite Expert > Sharing Management
- Ensure all checkboxes are checked, that the file status at the top is ACTIVE, and that the "Deactivate" button appears at the bottom
Collect API information in i-Suite
Before proceeding to the next step, gather the following information from ACD:
- The API code and password associated with the access created for Qonto
-
The connection address to i-Suite Expert, for example
https://<office.name>/iSuiteExpert— this is the prefix visible in your browser’s URL when you log into i-Suite -
The CNX code: usually, this is
CNXorCNXfollowed by a number (example:CNX123)
If you have trouble locating this information, consult your ACD provider’s documentation or contact their support.
How can I verify my files in ACD?
Before creating your files in Qonto, make sure your ACD files are complete and properly configured.
⚠️ The chart of accounts must be finalized before creating the file in Qonto. If this step is skipped, the chart of accounts on the Qonto side will be empty and synchronization will not work correctly.
Enable invoice number management
- In ACD, go to File > Settings > Entry > Invoice Number Management
- Check YES
If you wish to publish or unpublish ACD files in bulk for the Qonto Accounting Hub, contact ACD support.
How do I enter the API keys in my Qonto Accounting Hub?
Once you have collected the API information from ACD, go to your Qonto Accounting Hub to finalize the connection.
- Log in to your Qonto Accounting Hub
- Go to the Integrations menu
- Follow the Integrations wizard and enter your ACD API codes at the indicated steps
What settings should I know for sending entries to ACD?
Length of labels and ACK code
ACD limits the length of entry labels to 50 characters. Any label exceeding this limit is automatically truncated when sent to ACD.
Additionally, Qonto adds a code at the end of the label in the form of
(#AAAA#) (ACK code). Do not modify this code: it is used to verify the proper transfer of entries into ACD and to ensure the reliability of the link between Qonto and ACD. This mechanism is necessary because ACD does not provide an external identifier field in its API.Subsidiary codes
Subsidiary codes must start with:
- F for supplier accounts
- C for client accounts
The maximum length of the subsidiary account CODE is 13 characters. Any excess will cause the entry to be rejected.
For any new file created in Qonto, new subsidiary accounts are automatically and immediately transmitted to ACD via the API for creation.
Availability of the ACD server
If you use entry sending via the API and your ACD / i-Suite server is turned off or interrupted, sending from Qonto will fail for the entire duration of the interruption. Make sure your server remains powered on at all times.
Missing attachments in ACD
Attachments (PDFs, etc.) are renamed by Qonto before sending to ACD with a unique key to avoid duplicates in the ACD DMS.
If attachments do not properly appear in ACD, this is generally related to user rights in the ACD DMS. The most common causes are:
- Collaborator login – Case 1: a restriction set by the firm blocks access to the relevant section
- Collaborator login – Case 2: the section is active only for a specific type of file (example: visible for a "Client" file, invisible for a "Firm" file)
- User or client login: clients cannot upload documents directly into the DMS
To resolve these DMS rights issues, contact ACD support.
