How does the referral program work?

Who can benefit from the referral offer?

All customers with an active account can refer other companies to Qonto.

New customers cannot send referral invitations for their first 30 days.

The referred company must not already have an account with Qonto.

☝️ Important: For a successful referral, it is mandatory that the new customer signs up via the referral link. If the new account is created directly on the Qonto website, no reward will be applicable.

⚠️ As stated in our Terms and Conditions, Qonto may decide at any time to cancel the distribution of the reward in case of abuse of the offer and/or non-compliance with our terms of use.

Referral links and pages are now automatically deactivated when a referrer’s account is closing or have a notice period of closing.

 

How do I share my referral link?

🖥️ From your web application

  1. Log in to your Qonto account, click on the small gear icon at the bottom left and select Refer Qonto.
  2. On the page that opens, you can share your referral link:
    1. Manually: click on "copy referral link" and paste it wherever you want to share it.
    2. Automatically: add the email addresses of your contacts under "send an invitation by email". Then, press "send" to generate a predefined message to refer them to Qonto.

📲 From the mobile application

  1. From your iOS or Android mobile application, go to Menu > Refer Qonto
  2. Finally, click on "Share link" to send your referral link via your favorite social network, messages, email or simply copy-paste the link manually.

 

How do I get my referral reward?

Depending on your company's location, the referral offer works differently.

☝️ Important: Referral links are not taken into account by the system if you open them via a private browsing window.

The reward amount that will be credited to your account will always be the amount in effect at the time of the referee's registration (not necessarily the amount in effect at the time the referral was made). 

Example: Date of sending the referral link different from the date of registration of the referee).

 

🇫🇷 If you have been referred to Qonto and you have a French company:

  • Open your Qonto account through the referral link shared by your referrer,
  • Order a physical card
  • To receive your first reward: use your physical card to spend a total of at least €50 (either in a single transaction or multiple transactions, in-store or online) within the first 60 days after your account validation date (transaction validated and accepted by the merchant, delay between 1 to 3 days).
  • To receive the second reward: use your card to spend a total of €3000 (either in a single transaction or multiple transactions, in-store or online) within the first 60 days from the account validation date.
  • That’s all! You will receive the bonus automatically as soon as the referee has paid for their first month of subscription, which is after the trial month.

The reward eligibility is based on the contract signing date.

🇪🇸🇵🇹🇦🇹🇳🇱🇧🇪 If you have been referred to Qonto and you have a Spanish, Portuguese, Austrian, Dutch or Belgian company:

  • Open your Qonto account via the referral link that was shared with you
  • Make sure to order a physical card
  • Make a transaction with your physical card for an amount of €50 or more (you can make one or several transactions, in-store or online);
  • That's it! Your reward will be automatically credited as soon as the referee has paid for their first month of subscription, which is after the trial month.

    Excluding temporary promotional offers, the referral reward is set at €80 for both the referrer and the referee.

🇩🇪 If you have been referred to Qonto and you have a German company :

  • The steps are identical to those for the companies above. The reward is set at €150 for the referrer and €100 for the referee.

Which transactions are not eligible?

Not all card transactions are eligible for receiving the reward. For example, the following transactions are excluded from the referral offer:

  • Cash withdrawals,
  • All card transactions involving a fund transfer (for example, gift card purchases, money orders, prepaid card purchases, cryptocurrency purchases, traveler's checks, bank account top-ups),
  • All card transactions in restaurants, alcohol or tobacco stores,
  • Betting, casinos and other gambling,
  • Online payment services,
  • Clothing stores.
  • Vinted, Revolut, SumUp, tap-to-pay, card payment to another Qonto account.

Wire transfers are not eligible, only operations carried out via a card are.

 

If you have referred someone to Qonto:

💡 Good to know: When a company signs up to Qonto via your referral link, you will be able to track the referral status on the Qonto web application or on the iOS or Android applications:

  • Web application: once your referee signs up, go to the referral page and you will see a right sidebar where the referral status can be tracked.
  • Mobile application: once your referee signs up, go to the referral page and click on the "Reward status" section to see your referral status. You will see a "Track your referrals" button. You can click on this button to see your referral status.
